A man named Francis relates a story about his best friend Alan and his fiancée Jane. Alan takes him to a fair where they meet Dr. Caligari, who exhibits a somnambulist, Cesare, that can predict the future.

This is a really good, atmospheric film. It is one of the first films to have a twist ending, and it is a complete surprise (unless you read this before

watching). The German expression style is used to signify a dream state, which is a really good idea. As for this version, I feel that it is the best on IA. It is the same version as on Netflix (which means it is likely a DVD rip) but it is complete and the quality is good.
